Rather odd third bedroom…no door which we were expecting but also only 2 walls!! Annoying not to be able to open windows because of housemartins as hot. Parking could be a problem.

nice location and layout
comfortable beds
peaceful
lack of parking
could have been cleaner - white dog hair on carpet in living room
kitchen a bit grubby ie greasy trays kettle etc needed a wipe down
both bathrooms had musty smell
key safe took sometime to open ( neighbours told us everyone struggles with this) not great when it’s pouring with rain ! Also no instruction how to post key back into it

Perfect! Setting and views wonderful, house super stylish, cool wallpaper, funky lamps, aga and a stepped garden overlooking a babbling brook. What’s not to love. Fab 3 days with family of 5. We hope to be back soon.

Great place. Stayed 4 nights with friends and we all loved it. The Aga keeps the downstairs warm. And there's a super fire in the lounge. Clean and nicely decorated. Note from the pictures there is no door on the main bedroom - might be a surprise if you didn't spot it. Didn't bother us. Many stunning walks from the door. Walk up to Simons Seat and back via Bolton Abbey is fantastic. The neighbours were friendly and chatty. The Craven Arms is a perfect local pub with fantastic beer, atmosphere and food. And the weather was kind to us. So a super stay - Thankyou!

Fabulous location for walking in the dales. Good quality furnishings and furniture. Well maintained and clean. Great for a group to get together. Great that if accepts dogs.
Difficult to have privacy in the first floor bedroom at the top of the stairs. The wooden floorboards look beautiful upstairs (bedroom levels) but they make it a bit noisier when people start moving and others are in bed. The wall at the bottom of the garden was a bit low so the dogs jumped into next door’s garden and had to be watched when they were let out.

The cottage is beautifully styled and yet functional in every which way, the beds so comfy and to wake up with just the sound of birds and the wind outside was magnificent. The description doesn't do justice to the outdoors that immediately surrounds you, it was magical.

We stayed during a wet and cold February for a few days. Communication was really good and we found the cottage easily from the instructions.

The cottage was very comfortable and cosy. We loved the fireplace and living areas, wifi was really fast and reliable. First time using an Aga, took very little time to get used to. A more stylish and chic than the pictures.

This stay is cosy, quiet, clean, comfortable and is surrounded by some beautiful walks and great little pubs. Our party throughly enjoyed our weekend stay in drizzly January, and imagine it’s twice as gorgeous in spring and summer.

A romote but lovely house! Very well equipped, clean, funcatinal, well-maintained, has everything you need for a short stay. Peaceful location, don't miss the walk down the river, maybe Simon's Seat! Remember to shop the foods you need before driving into the dales.

While it's a house with plenty of characters, we like the kitchen the most.
